The Leane family
The Leane family history has been well documented by Wendy Frew in her recent book ‘Leane Times’.
She states ‘When I opened the genealogy cupboard, out fell a bunch of Cornish Methodist farmers who had migrated to South Australia’. What she found was a complex story of people who migrated in search of prosperity and religious freedom. Her great great grandmother watched five sons and six grandsons march to war to become the ‘Fighting Leanes’.
Wendy’s book ‘Leane Times’ was launched in Prospect by the Governor of South Australia on the 11th November 2018.
‘Leane Times’ is available from Wakefield Press, via their website.
